Bennie Yarbrough

A Soulful Maestro of Smooth Jazz

Orlando-based saxophonist Bennie Yarbrough creates smooth jazz rooted in soul, emotion, and genuine connection. His relationship with the saxophone began at just four years old, and by the age of ten, he had already earned his first paid performance—laying the foundation for a lifelong journey in music.

Inspired by artists including Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum, Grover Washington Jr., John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, and Stevie Wonder, Bennie has developed a sound that is warm, expressive, and unmistakably soulful. His laid-back tone has been described as having the warmth of honey, while his energetic and heartfelt performances invite audiences to experience every note—not simply hear it.

For Bennie, music is more than entertainment. It is a way to communicate emotion, create meaningful moments, and reach people beyond the limits of words. Whether performing an intimate ballad or an upbeat contemporary groove, he brings passion, authenticity, and a deep respect for the musical traditions that shaped him.

Bennie’s debut single, “When It Hit Me…,” introduces listeners to his signature blend of smooth-jazz sophistication, soulful expression, and melodic storytelling. The single offers the first glimpse into his forthcoming album, Silent Conversations, scheduled for release in November 2026.

Through Silent Conversations, Bennie explores the emotions, thoughts, and unspoken moments that often communicate more powerfully than words. The album represents a defining new chapter in his recording career while remaining true to the soulful sound and emotional honesty that have shaped his artistry from the beginning.

Through every recording and live appearance, Bennie Yarbrough seeks to leave audiences uplifted, inspired, and more connected than they were before the first note was played.
